About
This theme park is located in Orlando, FL. and sits on 110 acres of land. Founded by a man named Owen Godwin in 1949, it is designed to be a wildlife preserve, and still owned by his family to this day. Titled as the "Alligator Capital of the World" the amusement park houses thousands of crocodiles, and alligators. Discount tickets can be found for the breeding marsh, petting zoo, reptile show, observation tower, swamp walk, and the always great educational programs.

History
On November 6th, 2006, a three alarm fire started at Gatorland. After hours of Arson specialists looking into it, it was decided that a heat lamp shorted out and started the fire. Arson was not suspected. The fire was quickly put out about two hours later, however a gift shop was completely burnt down, as well as several walkways also burned pretty well. Since then everything has been repaired, and remodeled for cheap prices. Unfortunately a crocodile and two pythons were killed, but all other animals were spared and not even affected.

Review
As a reptile lover this place is fascinating, I have seen many gators and wildlife not in captivity, because I live in the area. But this was the first time I had visited Gatorland, and with my discount pass in hand, it made it really inexpensive and well worth the 5 min to print the coupons. If you love animal wildlife as much as I do, please visit.
